Medical &
Psychotherapy Billing, LLC

What Sets Me Apart

My approach to private practice billing maximizes income potential and keeps accounts receivables low. Through experience I found when the approach is to piecemeal or only partly delegate tasks, it can lead to substantial need for retroactive correction. Thus may be more difficult to get reimbursement of claims, or result in large client balances in the case of no insurance coverage for services.

Comprehensive Billing Practice Management

New client benefit checks prior to intake

I provide a prompt to providers of information required from their prospective clients for me to check their insurance benefits. This ensures clients are aware of their coverage and cost-share obligations before treatment starts.

Client communication when needed

Reserve therapy time for client care, if they have questions on their billing or there is a change in insurance I'll make contact (via clients preferred method) to ensure we have the correct information and client is up to date on any changes.

Claims submission to primary insurance
Weekly submission of insurance claims. Includes option for direct entry to insurance portals (when applicable) which may speed up processing time and avoid clearinghouse monthly fees. Paper claims submission via mail also available, though only used if required by the insurance company as lengthier processing time and additional postage fee may apply.

Claims submission to secondary insurance
With primary adjudication for secondary processing. If online entry not available, paper claim submission may require additional postage fees.

Electronic collection of client cost-share
Via Square or other cloud-based EHR system (Simple Practice, Theranest, TherapyAppointment, TherapyNotes)

Claims aging and accounts receivable monthly analysis

Includes a monthly report of outstanding insurance claims and client balances; account notes regarding delays, submission efforts for outstanding insurance claims to monitor timely filing limits.

Direct deposit set up assistance
Don't wait longer for payments by check or accept fees of virtual card payments by setting up direct deposit to your bank.

Provider directory attestation with insurance companies
Most insurance portals require providers to validate their provider information quarterly. I'll manage online portals provider data management to ensure up to date verification.

Contracting/credentialing

Assist with contracting/credentialing follow up, particularly helpful for providers starting off in private practice or those interested in expanding their networks.

Update practice forms

Review and update practice forms as needed to ensure up to date with any practice changes (change in practice location, fee schedule, etc).
